CHANGEUP

COMING SOON
SUMMER 2025

Use this pitch when the batter is expecting a fastball, in a 2-strike count, with runners in scoring position, or to keep the batter from timing your fastball.

The changeup is designed to look like a fastball but will arrive at the plate slower, making it difficult to hit squarely.

Several effective changeup grips exist—search the internet to find options that feel comfortable.

Use the same arm motion as your fastball, but with a slightly slower arm speed and a more relaxed wrist and forearm snap.

Some pitchers use a one-seam changeup grip to cause a more exaggerated downward drop.
